The Build a Thriving Business Consulting Practice—The CoreValue® Bootcamp is designed for professionals who are starting or expanding their business consulting practice. This bootcamp is designed for professionals who do not use a business consulting system to find new clients, win new engagements, and to manage projects or multi-year engagements. It's designed to help individuals analyze the best way to start or expand their business consulting practice.
This two-day bootcamp will consist of three separate modules:
Module 1—Discover Report: Your Lead Machine
The focus of this module is understanding and using CoreValue’s Discover assessment and report, which is the first step in using the CoreValue’s Business Consulting System to start, standardize, or expand a valuator’s business consulting practice. The module will also focus on using CoreValue Discover Analytics to see marketing opportunities in your client opportunity pipeline. You'll learn how to use Discover with groups to win engagements using CoreValue marketing events and Discover senior team workshops. Sales training role play will include learning how to approach current and prospective clients about your services. You'll review the business advisor sales tactics from the sales manual (included with your license). Group discussion about common mistakes in client approach and converting to long-term services, includes participant critiques from the faculty.
Module 2—CoreValue Unlock: Deep-Dive Analysis and Executable Growth Plan
The focus of this module is understanding and using CoreValue’s Unlock assessment and report, which is the deep dive assessment tool designed to generate a comprehensive operational analysis and report. The report identifies consulting opportunities and creates an executable growth plan to use with clients. The module will also look at several of the 18 value drivers so you can learn to use the analysis to propose consulting services. You will then move into CoreValue’s Executable Growth Plan to help clients build strong, valuable companies. Attendees will learn operational analysis expertise, positioning themselves as the architect of client growth. You will learn specific techniques to become the trusted advisor, helping your client build a strong, valuable company that supports their life goals.
Module 3—Case Study, including Sales and Marketing using the CoreValue Business Consulting System
This Case Study-based program is built on a “Building Long Term Strength and Value” use case. The module will examine three of CoreValue’s 18 Value Drivers in detail. It will cover sale vs. growth strategies, analyze vs. fix strategies, and building value. This module is where attendees learn everything they need to know to successfully find and sign up new consulting clients, and provides the core skills and materials they need to create a thriving consulting practice. NACVA and CoreValue have partnered with a leading sales training firm who developed and refined this proven system over the last 20 years.

The Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing But Persuasion™
Each attendee will participate as a testifying and consulting expert in a trial involving financial testimony or family law issues. Attendees will learn the art of delivering effective testimony and how to withstand grueling cross-examination. As consulting experts, attendees will learn how to dissect and critique the reports and opinions of the testifying experts and how to prepare counsel for the expert segments of trial. Each attendee will be coached and guided by members of our faculty of seasoned experts and trial attorneys. The bootcamp culminates in a courtroom setting during which each program attendee, as a testifying expert, presents and defends his or her own expert opinions on the witness stand.
